An excellent book on breaking the bad communication habits we’ve unknowingly developed, and learning how to communicate and relate in healthy ways that will deepen intimacy in your relationship and strengthen your marriage. This is basically the same knowledge you would gain from marriage counseling sessions. Very good read if you’re looking to improve your relationship.

Steve has a wonderful writing style that combines personal experience, academic studies and insightful stories into a narrative that is at the same time informative and entertaining. Helpful advice for anyone, whether they are newlywed or past their golden anniversary. My favorite section was on play. Great stuff!
